About the Role:
We are looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our People Operations (People Ops) team. The People Ops Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating onboarding, maintaining HRIS system integrity, communicating company policies, and providing day-to-day administrative support.
This is a hybrid, in-office role, reporting into the People Operations Generalist in our San Francisco office.
What You’ll Do:
  • Participate in new hire and benefits orientations.
  • Assist with various People Ops projects as needed.
  • Support our California and Atlanta-based non-exempt teams by answering questions relating to policies, timekeeping, benefits and other People Ops related inquiries.
  • Support administration of employee wellness programs.
  • Assist in processing, maintaining, and auditing data in Workday, ensuring accurate employee information and organizational charts.
  • Processing all new hires, transfers, promotions and exits in Workday.
  • Support our People Ops team with onboarding, including facilitating background checks, I-9s, and tracking the completion of new hire paperwork within the Workday HRIS system.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including handling incoming and outgoing mail correspondences.
What We Look For:
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Previous experience working with Workday HRIS system preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work with a sense of priority and urgency when needed.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar People Ops position.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $70,000 - $90,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Upgrade has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States and Canada, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range could vary depending on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.
