Summary
Alfred People Operations Manager, you will play a critical part in supporting and shaping our people strategies, and adapting as business priorities adjust. You are a skilled communicator and people-focused manager that can interpret company policies, uphold employment law compliance, plan recruiting and talent acquisition strategies, and mitigate employee relations. You support the internal investigation processes with an objective lens and seek out the facts to determine solutions. Building trusted relationships and accomplishing goals in a collaborative way comes natural to you.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure working interview check requests are managed appropriately.
- Lead employee investigation process in partnership with the Director of People Operations.
- Conduct check-ins with individual employees as deemed necessary to improve workplace environment.
- Submit weekly staffing reports and update accordingly, as roles are filled and opened.
- Partner with company leaders at all levels in resolving employee conflicts and employee relations.
- Support the development and maintenance of performance review forms and processes.
- Oversee the integrity and consistency of interviewing and hiring decisions.
- Manage and lead internal promotion processes to ensure key roles are filled in a timely manner.
- Partner with company leaders at all levels in interpreting and understanding company policies.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Process Paycom Personnel Action Forms and Performance Discussion Forms.
- Manage candidate process flows for both external and internal positions.
- Support the development of job descriptions and update frequently to mirror business needs.
- Build effective working relationships with all employees and leaders at all levels.
- Uphold Alfred Core Values and Mission Statement through people and business strategies.
- Effectively solve business and people problems to ensure continuity with business operations.
- Support talent planning and succession.
- Directly manage the Alfred Recruiting Coordinator and People Operations Coordinator.
- Support management of Paycom systems -- payroll, performance management, and EEO-1/ACA reporting.
- Support the planning of company events and employee recognition initiatives.
What You’ll Need:
- Proven track record of being highly organized and completing projects on time.
- 3+ years of experience in human resources management / people operations management.
- General understanding of employment law, state and federal.
- Experience prioritizing multiple functions and tasks while managing time effectively.
- Exceptional relationship and trust building abilities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- You can organize, summarize, and communicate ideas simply, succinctly and accurately.
- Experience with HRIS / Paycom preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and emailing required.
