Job Description
The Blavity Family is seeking a top performing People Operations Coordinator to join our organization!


We are looking for a People Operations Coordinator for Blavity who will work closely with our the team help keep the office running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate for this role will offer best-in-class hospitality and service, and handle all requests with a can-do attitude. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal skills, and have a knack for solving problems and anticipating needs.


Contract position


What You’ll Do…


  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory in stock
  • Arrange travel and accommodations, and prepare vouchers
  • May occasionally lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Office storage
  • Meet with People Operations and Receptionist to discuss weekly priorities
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Do regular check-ins with both floors to fix any necessary issues
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor calendar, issue visitor badges)
  • Company lunches
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying etc.
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Manage large shipments to clients and other Blavity offices/employees
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material


What You Have…


  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven work experience as a People Operations Coordinator, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Receptionist/ Office management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Customer service attitude
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
