About the Role
The Human Resources Lead will report to the Head of Operations and play a crucial role in supporting the company's growth by overseeing key HR functions. This individual will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, ensuring labor law compliance, and handling state registration for hiring. Additionally, they will actively foster a positive company culture, act as a trusted advisor to employees, and provide consultative recommendations to leadership.

Recruitment, Hiring, & Initial Onboarding:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the end-to-end hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer negotiations.
- Assist hiring managers in creating 30/60/90 onboarding plans and checking in regularly to ensure that they are being followed and new hire progress is being measured adequately.
Benefits Management: As the company grows, identify and help implement new employee benefits programs.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations, providing guidance and support to management and employees.
- Manage state registration processes for hiring, including maintaining required documentation and reporting.
- Working with our international hiring partner to ensure compliance with our international hires.
Creating a Positive Team Culture: Cultivate a positive and inclusive company culture, emphasizing trust and cross-functional communication.
- Act as a trusted confidant and resource for employees, addressing concerns and providing guidance.
- Regularly communicate with leadership to provide updates on employee feedback, concerns, and recommendations for improvement.
Policy Creation, Implementation, and Enforcement: Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry best practices and legal requirements to ensure compliance and inform HR initiatives.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms.
- Strong understanding of benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) or HR management software.
- Knowledge of relevant labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with state registration processes for hiring and maintaining necessary documentation.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
