Job Purpose:
Under direct supervision, serves as a generalist supporting Southern Medical Management’s human resources program with specialization in specific human resources program(s), e.g., benefits administration, recruitment and employment, payroll, etc.
Examples of Work:
1. Assists in the administration of compensation, employee relations, recruitment and employment, benefits, payroll, and records management functions.
2. Acts as a resource on human resources matters, providing guidance, assistance, and support to leadership, management, and staff.
3. Assists with recruitment and may participate in the interview process.
4. Participates in On-Boarding Sessions to acquaint new hires with company HR policies and procedures.
5. Consults with management regarding employee-related issues.
6. Provides guidance, interpretation, and training related to human resource policies. Communicates policy information to management as needed.
7. Trains managers in human resources practices.
8. Maintains and updates HR/Payroll records via APS.
9. Accesses human resource data and compiles reports for data-driven decision making.
10. Performs related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management.
2. Working knowledge of the relevant human resources policies and procedures and of Southern Medical Management’s policies and procedures.
3. Working knowledge of federal laws and state regulations affecting human resources.
4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
6. Ability to analyze situations to recommend and communicate solutions effectively.

Work Hours:8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
