Overview


We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager/HRBP to join our corporate team!


ARS is growing into California!


Significant previous experience with California labor laws REQUIRED.
Preferred applicants will reside in Central or Mountain time zones.
This position is 100% remote
Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, eating disorders and mental health issues. Pay Minimum
USD $75,000.00/Yr.
Pay Maximum
USD $90,000.00/Yr.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Manager will influence decision making by building strong relationships with facility and corporate leadership and by leveraging available resources to support business objectives. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting ARS employees in the areas of employee inquiries, employee relations, policy updates, progressive discipline, and managing the worker’s compensation and leaves of absence processes.
Core Job Duties
  • Conducts investigatory interviews and works with Leadership on appropriate disciplinary action for violations of company policy.
  • Compiles and prepares reports as requested.
  • Prepares and participates in regulatory surveys for facilities supported.
  • Generates official internal documents related to employee status, promotions and pay changes.
  • Collaborates with leaders in the creation and execution of retention strategies and to drive business outcomes.
  • Responds to employee email, telephone, and HR Support System inquiries in a timely manner, escalating inquiries when needed.
  • Owner of job descriptions to include assisting with creating new job descriptions and changes to existing job descriptions as needed.
  • Serves as the designated expert on Local, State and Federal Employment Law and the interpretation of Human Resources policies.
  • Manages the following processes:
  • Uses data to guide decision-making, problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Recommends changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
  • Monitors Exit Interviews to identify trends and provide feedback to leadership as appropriate.
  • Other duties and/or tasks as requested.
  • Performance Evaluations – 90 Day and Annual Performance Review.
  • Worker’s Compensation - beginning with the reporting of incident though closure of case.
  • Leave of Absences including Personal, FMLA, Medical Non-FMLA and Military).
  • Initiates Employee Engagement Surveys, analyzes trends, and reports on results.
  • Provides periodic leadership development training to departments/facilities supported.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
Experience
  • OR a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in lieu of education requirements.
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare industry or healthcare industry strongly preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in handling Human Resources employee relations issues REQUIRED
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Resourceful thinker; Demonstrated coaching ability;
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills coupled with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written and problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Demonstrates the ability to process, verify and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining human resource information system records and compiles reports from ADP.
  • Ability to act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
