Location: New York or Los Angeles

Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead NEON’s human resources, cultural and talent functions
• Bolster the continued growth of NEON’s internship program (recruiting, on- and off-boarding, curriculum, evaluations, etc.)
• Provide advice, counsel and coaching to employees at all levels regarding HR and company practices
• Design and deliver programs to positively impact the employee experience and processes that continue to foster a strong company culture
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resource and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice and resources to leadership and implement, as applicable
• Serve as a senior, trusted advisor and partner to NEON leadership on key organizational and management issues, and as a liaison across all departments
• Oversee professional development, management training, recruitment and DEI initiatives
• Champion both the employee perspective and company needs to promote a positive, collaborative, respectful, and engaging work environment; lead the design, implementation, and establishment of an employee advocate/ombudsman function
• Manage NEON’s new-hire onboarding and orientation process, payroll function and employee benefits plans; update employee handbook and policies as needed
• Support department heads to optimize the performance and well-being of their teams (including with training to improve employee communication, professional development and performance management strategies, etc.)

Education and Experience:

• Demonstrated ability to:
• Knowledge of employment and labor law required
• Proactively embrace and drive positive, transformational change
• Independently develop, drive, and contribute to overall strategic and business plans in a rapidly developing, changing, and creative environment; and
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, organizational psychology, business administration, or related field; master's degree preferred
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
• At least seven years of human resources experience (with five years of human resources management experience) required; film or other creative industry experience preferred
• Be a team player who can quickly build trust and establish collaborative working relationships with company leadership and employees at all levels
• Proven experience building/leading an effective human resources function that delivers integrated business solutions, ideally in a creative environment
