JOB SUMMARY:
The VP, Director is responsible for conceptualizing, designing & delivering marketing analytics spanning opportunity identification/quantification, segmentation/targeting, media/social analytics, website or online experience analytics, marketing analytics including Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) evaluations and Customer Behavior Path measurement.
The VP, Director will lead a team responsible for a portfolio of products, brands, and enterprises. The nature of engagements will be quite diverse, likely ranging from operational analytics including measurement, data visualization, and dashboarding, to coordinating more advanced analytics such as marketing mix modeling, simulations, network analysis, etc. As part of the ongoing role, the VP may help identify new business/revenue growth opportunities and participate in new business presentations to existing and prospective clients.
This role will be the primary owner of the client analytics relationship, thus requiring appropriate client management experience & skills.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide senior level leadership to team of Analysts, Sr. Analysts, Assoc Directors and Directors
- Work with modelers and analysts to design/develop compelling/relevant analyses
- Oversee multiple teams or accounts, often as the senior-most member of the Analytics team
- Understand the clients current marketing technology and operations functions and infrastructure to execute all multi-channel marketing efforts including: digital, web, email, social, mobile, direct mail, print, tele-services, customer care, salesforce, point-of-purchase/retail and other emerging HCP/consumer touch points
- Understand client’s technology infrastructure solutions to advance the agency and our clients’ ability to analyze/optimize their marketing and media activities
- Develop best-in-class marketing strategies with cross-functional agency team
- Perform consultative role in identifying gaps in clients’ current marketing infrastructure ecosystem, make recommendations to close those gaps and develop proposals, scopes of work, budgets, vendor contracts to perform/manage client engagements covering these areas
- Make actionable recommendations to client based on analytic findings
- Recommend analytic projects/analyses to cross-functional agency team based on client business challenges, objectives, goals
- Prepare high-quality, visually compelling, client-ready documents/findings/recommendations
- Coordinate across internal teams (media planning, strategy, SEM, Social) to design and build reports. Manage timelines for report creation and delivery, collaborating with key internal stakeholders to produce actionable insights and recommendations based on campaign performance metrics and KPIs
EDUCATION:
DEGREE/DIPLOMA AREA OF STUDY REQUIRED/PREFERRED
Bachelors Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Computer Science, Decision Science, Economics, Information Management Studies, Integrated Marketing Communications Required
Masters/MBA Marketing, Analytics, Operations, Technology Preferred
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AREA OF EXPERTISE REQUIRED/PREFERRED
8-12+ Years marketing analytics or related field such as advertising, retail marketing, product marketing, direct marketing, online marketing, loyalty marketing, etc. Required
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- 8-12+ years work experience in marketing analytics or related field such as advertising, retail marketing, product marketing, direct marketing, online marketing, loyalty marketing, etc.
- Experience in scoping, pricing and staffing analytic engagements
COMPETENCIES:
- Expert knowledge of analytic solutions platforms and software
- Expert knowledge of marketing/advertising/research principles
- Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills in formal and informal settings
- Expert knowledge and experience in marketing technology solutions, software/tools, database partners/vendors, etc,. providing solutions/services in this area
- Expert skills in digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Adobe, etc.
- Working knowledge of the development and maintenance of data infrastructure and associated platforms and programming languages, such as SQL, MYSQL, NO-SQL, etc., along with cloud storage solutions
- Expert knowledge and applied experience in integrated, multi-channel marketing/advertising campaign tactics – including off-line and online/digital channels
- Working knowledge of analytic techniques such as: time series data analysis, segmentation, univariate & multivariate statistical analysis, modeling, various metrics and key performance indicators, research & test design, significance testing, variance and growth calculations, forecasting, return on investment.
Salary
$165,000 to $189,800 annually
