We are looking for a superstar to join our team as our Director of People & Culture.

We are looking for an experienced HR leader to own the talent management function at Sakara, operating at multiple altitudes owning both the administrative aspects of HR as well as the strategic.

You will run employee relations for our ~110 person team across three offices and oversee all HR administration, including compliance, 401K, payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, as well as recruiting, talent development, and culture-building. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and detail-oriented leader, who is excited about owning the HR function soup-to-nuts.

You will:

• Liaise on HR legal issues with our employment lawyer
• Manage all payroll and benefits via Namely
• Partner with the leadership team to provide support with recruiting, organizational planning, compensation, and management coaching
• Build trusted relationships with employees and provide guidance and support as they develop their careers
• Run the Sakara internship program
• Oversee all HR compliance across New York and California
• Set People & Culture goals (hiring, retention, trainings) and partner with the leadership team to ensure we are meeting priorities
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding of full time and part time employees, contractors, and interns
