What We're Looking For
If you have a Bachelor's degree in Plant Sciences or a related field, or a minimum of 10 years of equivalent experience, we want to hear from you! We are seeking someone with at least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or a related role. You should have a keen ability to prioritize based on the biggest return on investment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite is required, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred. Please note that this position is not remote.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As our Supply Chain Manager, you will work closely with our Chief Financial Officer and the MRP/purchasing team. Your main responsibility will be to manage and optimize our supply chain protocols, procedures, and strategies. You will oversee MRP, Inventory Control, and Purchasing to support our operations, including production planning, forecasting, crop inventories, costing, inventory control, record management, and interdepartmental communication. Your recommendations will be crucial in improving productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Specifically, Your Role Will Involve
Developing supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and leverage automation.
Collaborating with logistics to optimize warehouse functions and ensure accurate inventory reporting.
Managing and maintaining crop codes by researching, collecting, and inputting new or updated data.
Examining and reviewing cost records to ensure proper allocation of cost data.
Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies.
Planning, developing, and purchasing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining quality standards.
Preparing specialized reports and graphs based on crop information.
Assisting in crop planning and product development, including costing and pricing.
Reconciling crop inventory reports and conducting physical counts.
Completing special projects by organizing and coordinating information, meeting schedules, and monitoring results.
Training employees on new forms, reports, and procedures.
Ensuring satisfactory completion of work projects and maintaining a safe working environment.
Fostering a strong sense of teamwork among team members.
