About the role:

We are seeking a People Manager who will recruit, support and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. The individual should be highly efficient and have knowledge of various people functions. As the People Manager, you will have a direct influence and positive impact on the people at Novata. The successful candidate will benefit from person-to-person interaction and relationship building, supporting employees directly, coordinating, planning, and executing HR activities; this may involve guiding managers through the various HR disciplines i.e., recruitment process, benefits programs, training, employment disputes.

As the People Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with other managers in the business globally to ensure the smooth running of the company from a people perspective
• Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary
• Overseeing training and development needs of employees
• Leading the recruitment process, including selection and interviewing of candidates
• Oversee and approve payroll
• Lead on the various UK and US employee benefit renewals and open enrolment
• Ensure suitable processes are in place to enhance performance of our staff, such as equality and diversity, talent management and health and wellbeing
• Handling employment relations issues such as grievances and employee welfare
• Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align employees with the strategic goals of the organization
• Support the Global Head of People in delivering the people function’s strategic plan

Requirements

• Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
• Proven experience as People Manager or equivalent, with some knowledge of the UK market is a plus
• Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
• Strong ethics and reliability
• Proficient in MS Office;
• Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
