Role: Partnerships Development Manager


Reports to: Director of Corporate Partnerships


Location: This role will be remote in the continental US, Alaska, or Hawaii


Hours: Full-time


Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000


Level: T4 Manager (non supervisory)


Status: Exempt

The Trevor Project recently voluntarily recognized The Communications Workers of America (CWA) as the representative of certain employees for collective bargaining purposes, and the position for which you are being considered is in the bargaining unit. Overview of the role

The Trevor Project believes that long-term, dynamic corporate partnerships are imperative to our work of providing suicide prevention and crisis intervention services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people. Our Partnerships Development Manager will lead this effort as one of our key deal-makers and relationship builders by building strategic working relationships with executives of Fortune 500 companies to identify and initiate new contacts, acquire new partnerships, and secure six- and seven-figure gifts to support Trevor’s life-saving programs. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about our work and brings industry-specific expertise to broaden Trevor’s portfolio of corporate partners.

  • Collaborator. Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly - both written and verbal - for audiences, both internal and external, with proven results in developing successful relationships .
  • Communicator. Proven skill in distilling complex information into compelling, easily digestible narratives; presenting information in an inspiring and persuasive way, as well as talking and working with senior corporate leaders and can understand their priorities. You have demonstrated experience in writing one-sheets, building pitch decks, and developing compelling written proposals that excite the reader, using corporate-jargon to help companies understand the power of social good.
  • Experienced. Proven experience in fundraising, sales, business development, and/or strategic partnerships, ideally working on large scale non-profit/for-profit partnerships generating six- and seven-figure gifts, with a demonstrated understanding of how to create and move leads through a pipeline, make deals, and close them. Demonstrated understanding of the value corporations bring to nonprofits (and vice versa) and skill in creatively communicating the benefits of those mission-driven relationships to potential and existing partners is required.

  • Represent Trevor’s mission in presentations for corporate partners and audiences
