About the position:


Strategic Partnerships is a department within the Development team primarily responsible for stewarding Americares financial relationships with corporate, pharmaceutical and public donors. This team has a revenue goal of approximately $20M annually, and additionally brings in over 400M in donated medicines and medical supplies.


The Strategic Partnership Team is responsible for originating and stewarding Corporate and Foundation Partnerships in order to secure support for Americares ongoing international and domestic programs. Depending on your specific role; you may be directly responsible for leading enterprise accounts, cause marketing accounts, brand, sports /entertainment/casino/ gaming; AERP or other disaster fundraising or as directed by the DSVP or current leadership. The SP team is an integral part of the broader development division, and this position will be part of our efforts to broaden Americares base.


The manager will be responsible for customer facing fundraising , including management of their own portfolio, employee engagement and match funding, and data management, process improvement and research.


The purpose of this role is to onboard an early, yet familiar fundraising professional that will support the Enterprise team in achieving multi- million-dollar fundraising revenue goals.


Key Outcomes:


In the first 90 day s :
  • T he Manager will develop an in-depth understanding of Americares work and programming, and of their portfolio .
  • Build and track a strong corporate pipeline through ongoing prospect research, cultivation, and solicitation efforts.
  • The manager will have the ability to understand where to support the team and engage in opportunities to close existing business or move the conversation forward so that the more experienced A ssociate D irector /S enior D irector would close or upgrade the account.
  • It will be important for the manager to understand all business aligned to their vertical.


In the first 6 month s :


  • S erve as lead on i nitial donor calls, and qualifying prospecting leads .
  • The Manager will work closely with the marcomms team, programs team, and other departments to ensure organizational alignment and collaboration.
  • Additionally, the candidate will fully understand CRM and would assist the vertical in inputs and outgoing direct communication.
  • The hire should have the ability to work independently on tracking donor engagement , stewardship, donor benefits, and alignment on Americares core programs while understanding where to consult with the S enior D irector on existing business across the portfolio.
  • T he Manager will continue to develop an in-depth understanding of enterprise partnerships portfolio management and begin tracking renewals , growth accounts from existing partners , and new business potential.


In the first yea r, the Manager will:


  • The Manager should also be efficient in understanding independently where to upgrade opportunities for existing business.
  • Support Directors on donor management, and serve as lead project manager , on tracking internal weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
  • Track engagement metrics of corporate benefits for reporting and upgrade purposes, while using data to assess effectiveness.
  • Support the entire Strategic Partnerships team on board report , board engagement and fundraising event management .
  • After one year, the new hire will be i nvolved in stew arding all current partners and serve as lead on introduction call s under the direction of the Senior Director.
  • Work closely with marcomms on monthly newsletters, annual reports, quart erl y reports, and corporate communications for enterprise partnerships.
  • Manage corporate funder data in donor management system.
  • Deliver exceptional stewardship of Enterprise Partnerships portf olio of donors


Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Understand where to consult with the Senior Director on existing Business across the portfolio .
  • Develop and implement ideas to generate new revenue; make presentations and lead meetings; develop compelling proposals and grant submissions, assure regular reporting in compliance with donor stipulations, cultivate manage and grow key relationships and serve as the primary interface for a portfolio of key accounts and prospects.
  • Originate and steward relationships with corporate partners working in partnership with global programs teams to identify programmatic opportunities that will open doors with prospects.
  • Understanding independently where to upgrade opportunities for existing Business.
  • Ability to work independently on their existing portfolio.
  • Fully understand CRM and would assist the vertical in inputs and outgoing client communication .
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal (and external) decision makers who influence and impact corporate strategies and who can initiate new opportunities to deepen current partnerships and expand Americares prospecting pipeline.
  • Other duties as assigned .

  • The Ability to provide exceptional support to help the team achieve revenue goals.
  • You have knowledge and experience working in fundraising, sales, business development, sponsorship or commercial marketing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment , manage multiple projects , and balance priorities during high pressure situations.
  • Y ou have US work authorization ( required )
  • Experience securing funds, managing or supporting Fortune 100-1000 corporate partnerships .
  • You have language skills in at least one of our core languages , other than English : Spanish, Tagalog, Hindi, Kiswahili, Haitian Creole (this would be a plus, but is not a requirement)
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of professional fundraising/development experience, with a clear record of achievement in a complex, mission-driven organization .
  • Working on comprehensive multi-year partnerships .
  • Diversity in corporate partnership experience, and revenue generation.
