Overview


The recent addition of the Protection Products team creates an opportunity to significantly increase dealer performance, sales penetration and unlock significant revenue growth. The new business venture will drive brand awareness and loyalty for General Motors, integrate F&I incentives for dealers, and drive digital innovation for our customer.


The Protection Products team at General Motors Financial is looking for great, experienced automotive F&I representatives to join the team as a badged GM Financial employee. Our team is responsible for bringing the branded General Motors F&I products to market. We offer Vehicle Service Contracts, Gap Coverage, Pre-Paid Maintenance Plans, and other F&I products to our dealers. As part of the value we bring to our dealer partners, we offer real world retail experience and training from automotive professionals like you! We work hands on with our dealer partners to improve performance in their F&I department.

What You Bring To The Table


  • Introduction and training of new products, systems and processes defined by GM
  • Deliver training and presentations to dealerships as needed
  • In dealership, one on one training
  • This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis


Responsibilities


JOB DUTIES


  • Demonstrate best practices of available reporting tools and dealer-facing systems (without working in dealer systems, printing documents, or customer signatures)
  • Collaborate with the dealer's assigned Account Manager – Protection to achieve key performance criteria, incorporating upfront expectations, meeting dealership objectives, and communicating ongoing progress, successes, challenges, and opportunities
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, excellence, and integrity
  • Maintain effective communication with appropriate internal partners and positive relationships within all areas of the dealership
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Train Finance departments on protection products as necessary
  • Model and refine GM Financial F&I sales process with dealer and customers to increase effectiveness, compliance, and demonstrate profit potential and customer satisfaction
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures
  • In-dealership one-on-one observation, role plays, and menu training
  • Complete daily and weekly progress reports, utilize the internal CRM system, and communicate with Strategic Sales leadership
  • Provide guidance on effective turnover processes between Sales and F&I, customer interview, menu presentation, and closing techniques


Qualifications


Knowledge


  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred
  • Knowledge of dealership operations and Finance & Insurance required
  • B2B experience is a plus


Skills


  • Strong interpersonal and people skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to meet with senior level managers
  • Able to meet deadlines and establish objectives
  • Must possess the ability to make consistent quality decisions
  • Working knowledge of computer software such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills


Education


  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, or extensive relevant experience preferred


Experience


  • A proven track record of quality sales performance and client satisfaction preferred
  • In-dealership F&I experience strongly preferred


Working Conditions


  • Up to 100% travel required, potentially including Saturdays
  • Overnight travel required within contiguous United States
  • Ongoing mobility with willingness to relocate preferred
  • Responding to dealer communications outside of normal business hours
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle (company or rental) for traveling from one work location to another access to a major airport


Salary


The base salary range for this role is: USD $59,700.00 to $110,500.00.


At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education.


This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
