The L’Oréal USA Human Resources Management Trainee Program is a full-time, 2.5 year opportunity for you to kick-off your career at the #1 Beauty Tech company in the world. We are committed to giving our Management Trainees the space to learn, develop, and grow into future leaders for the Group. At the end of the program you will be considered for an Assistant Manager or Manager opportunity across Human Resources based on your performance and potential at the end of the program.


What You Will Learn:


You will dive directly into HR immersion, including an assignment within the New York tri-state area based on your placement. Your main responsibility will consist of overseeing the day to day HR responsibilities in this space. You will be coached by HR professionals and supported with weekly check-ins at our headquarters. During this assignment, you will continue to master your human resources skills by working on your HR project – (conducting research, competitive analysis, interviewing stakeholders, creating your launch plan, and developing cross-functional partnerships, etc.). You will also focus on the online business to develop an understanding of online vs. offline to help create a seamless experience for the consumer at all touchpoints.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Able to start working fulltime starting June 2023 upon graduation with your bachelor’s degree
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation by June 2023.
  • Or Candidates must have received a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months OR must have graduated with a Master’s degree within the last 12 months with no gap more than 5 months in education history
  • Legally authorized to work in the US on a fulltime, permanent, and ongoing basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Willing to relocate to any USA-based office that has an HR Management Trainee opportunity, including:
  • New York, New York
  • New Jersey (examples include: Jersey City, Berkeley Heights, Clark, Franklin, and more)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any major with a total GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Showcased ability to work in a professional, dynamic environment through previous internship or relevant work experience. This include part-time work, work study, side-gigs, freelancing, volunteering, summer work, or internships
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and interest in Human Resources through your academics, extra-curricular activities, or professional/volunteer work
  • Established self-awareness, in terms of understanding your own culture, identity, biases, prejudices, power, privilege and stereotypes
  • Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in fast-paced working environment
