Our client, a leading real estate firm is looking for an HR Specialist to join their Human Resources team. This role is in Manhattan, NYC, On-site 5 days a week, and offers a compensation of $80,000-$85,000 + paid overtime + bonus
Day-to-day HR responsibilities
• Act as an interface to provide first level customer service to internal clients
• Provide support in updating and maintaining HR records including HRIS, employee records and other HR data
• Provide administrative and operational support to members of the HR team including support with travel and expenses
• Manage HR mailbox by providing timely responses to basic inquiries and escalating moderate to complex matters.
• Assist in managing HR vendors including onboarding and go forward operations
• Assist with the coordination for long and short-term HR projects, including annual certifications and trainings
• Assist with coordinating and drafting HR communications, including holiday memos, timesheet reminders, etc.
• Partner with HR Operations Manager and Payroll Manager to assist with bi-weekly timecard review, payroll processing and reporting.
General Recruiting
• Draft offer letters for second level review, track return deadlines and follow up with hiring managers as needed
• Organize and provide HR with candidate’s paperwork, such as resumes, job descriptions, and job screening notes
• Provide support to recruiting team, including tracking resume submissions and coordination of interview logistics, if needed
Onboarding and Offboarding
• Assist with the onboarding of new employees, including IT requests, orientation, new hire forms, conducting background check follow-ups, and set-up and filing of employee personnel folder
• Assist with the offboarding of employees, including IT requests, exit interview scheduling and archiving of employee personnel folders
Talent Development
• Assist with performance reviews, self-assessments, promotions, and compensation by drafting communications, tracking completion, sending reminders, etc.
Education and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred

• Self-starter who works well independently and uses sound judgement to adapt and apply various processes and guidelines
• Ability to work across different styles and adapt quickly to a dynamic office culture
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Concur, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
