Our client, a fashion brand in NYC, is seeking a Human Resources Director to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Act as Strategic Partner to the organization proactively reaching out to departments in order to understand needs, concerns and suggestions, making thoughtful and impactful recommendations to leadership.
- Continue executing current People & Culture processes
recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, career development, L&D, workshops, engagement events, pulse surveys, DEI Council & education, people reporting/ analytics
- Leave of Absence management; support leave of absence management via Insperity as well as employees with regard to leave of absence questions
- Manage all HR Operations activities, to include payroll, benefits, compliance, on-boarding/ off-boarding and reporting
- Lead recruitment for Retail stores and assist Recruitment Partner with coordinating HQ open roles.
- Maintain and update employee policies as needed; ensure HR compliance in partnership with PEO.
- Offboarding; completion of exit interviews and all other administrative tasks
- Manage payroll and benefits administration in partnership with PEO provider (Insperity).
- Oversee all other HR Operational systems.
- Monitor and maintain HRIS data/records for new and existing employees including entering new hires & terminations, transferring & updating information, generating reports on a regular basis
- Research and recommend L&D and Team building opportunities, maintain and update L&D self-directed library.
- Recommend new best practices for continually improving engagement, performance, retention rates.
- Utilize and leverage data analytics, retrieving and analyzing reports, leveraging insights for continual HR improvement.
- Manage, Coach and Mentor Office Manager and Sr. Recruitment Partner, ensuring efficient and impactful Talent Acquisition strategy and support execution of recruitment activities (ATS system knowledge)
- Act as a resource for People related questions/ concerns and as a point of contact to respond, handle or coordinate action for employee relations concerns and/or challenges on an ongoing basis
- Conduct bi-annual salary benchmarking review leveraging Insperity salary data, ensuring equitable and competitive compensation practices; make compensation recommendations for approval
Qualifications:
- Experience working with a PEO, a plus
- Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- 8-10 years of HR Generalist/ HRBP experience with strong knowledge of HR Operations, Compliance, Payroll & Benefits, Employee Relations, Recruitment & People Processes & Analytics
- Retail and/or Direct to Consumer background
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Graduate Degree in related field preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient knowledge of Google Workspace & Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, etc).
