Job Description

Role: HR Assistant

Location: Madison Ave, NY

Rate: $25-30 an hour w2

Term: 6+ Months (option to convert)

:

Manage the end-to-end on-boarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Provide necessary resources, materials, and information to new employees to facilitate their integration into the bank.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, including organizing interview panels and arranging necessary logistics.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires, addressing their queries, concerns, and providing guidance throughout the on-boarding period.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by partnering with HR and hiring managers to define job requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including employee files, offer letters, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Coordinate and schedule orientation sessions, training programs, and other relevant on-boarding activities.
  • Generate reports and metrics related to on-boarding and recruitment activities for management review.
  • Keep candidates informed about the status of their application and provide feedback whenever possible.
  • Conduct candidate surveys and collect feedback to identify areas for improvement in the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR teams to develop comprehensive on-boarding plans tailored to each new employee's role and requirements.
  • Post job openings on relevant platforms and monitor job applications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and internal policies during the on-boarding and recruitment process.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of the role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Prior experience in recruitment, on-boarding, or HR coordination, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and HR teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Must Have:

5 + years of experience in recruitment, on-boarding, or HR coordination, preferably within the financial services industry.

Organization skills

Strong written and verbal communication

Nice to Have:

Project Management Experience

Experience supporting senior management

Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
