Job Description

The Opportunity

Everyday Health’s Human Resources (HR) team is looking for an enthusiastic coordinator who will assist with the tactical responsibilities of HR.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Detail Oriented. You are able to give a task your undivided attention and catch any mistakes or errors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation, distribution and collection of annual incentive compensation letters
  • Administer change of status paperwork including transfers, promotions, and terminations
  • Assist with employment verifications
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive documents, programs, information, etc., is maintained
  • Perform employee orientations, distribute paperwork and update records of new staff
  • Update and maintain organizational charts that capture the current status of the population.
  • Assist with on/off boarding of employees and contractors, preparing and sending out IT notifications, welcome emails and new hire swag
  • Assist with immigration duties & maintain electronic and physical immigration files
  • Process I-9 verification/documentation and E-Verify for new hires and reverifications as necessary
  • Manage background check process for all new hires
  • Other special projects as needed
  • Attend HR meetings as required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years experience in a large, complex global company with an interest in or education in human resources field
  • Excellent organizational & planning skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive company and employee data with integrity and discretion.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail and working with a sense of urgency
  • Previous HR internship experience preferred
  • Excellent writing skills and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a complex and rapidly changing work environment
  • Ability to work productively in a team and independently

Additional:

  • Must be able to work in our office in New York City This is a hybrid position (2-3 days in the office).

  • Note: Disclosure as required by NYCHRL, the base salary range for this role when being performed in the City of New York is $50,000 to $60,000. Compensation for this business unit specific role is based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, as well as business & company performance.
