Opportunity
Under the direction of the Director – HR – Luxury Brands, the Human Resources Specialist has the primary responsibility to provide human resources support to Kohler Luxury Brands, with a focus on Ann Sacks Tile & Stone. This position will support the linking of HR activity to the success and strength of the organization. This position interfaces in all aspects of the business unit, its customers and especially its employees to bring HR activity into alignment to organization goals and help the organization succeed through progressive and responsive HR practices.
Specific Responsibilities
Administration
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Develop and maintain position descriptions & position numbers for all current and newly created positions in the group.
- Serve as the primary owner of all personnel ACTs, working with functional managers to align on strategy and develop business case & justification.
- Maintain accurate paper and electronic records regarding all employees in the assigned business group.
- Liaison with payroll department to resolve employee concerns.
- Maintain compliance with all governmental organizations related to the Human Resources function.
- Assists with the creation of internal HR communications, trainings decks, meetings etc.
Recruiting & Integration
- Manage temporary staffing agency relationships, and coordinate with hiring managers interacting with staffing agencies to fill key roles.
- Recruiting process compliance (pay transparency, postings timeline etc.).
- New hire communication and follow up (send 7, 30, 90 day check in reminders).
- Requests or creates new KCM requisitions.
- Serve as liaison for the recruiter for key positions, working with hiring managers to develop specific criteria for each search and coordinate the total recruiting project ensuring timely action, cost effective strategies, and a professional and positive contact for all candidates.
- Handle the pre-employment testing process for specific roles.
- Drive the new hire integration experience.
Policy and Procedure
- Monitor management compliance with human resources policies and procedures
- Act as a liaison with the Kohler legal department as necessary.
- Support the process of updating human resource policies and procedures, which may include ownership of specific policy areas and/or updating projects.
- Monitor compliance with government mandated regulations.
Training
- Track and promote compliance training related to CA and other state regulations including mandatory sexual harassment training for CA based associates.
Employee Development / Relations
- Partner with HRBPs on individual HR issues, performance problems, terminations, promotions, position creation, job content, job description, development and ACTs.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management.
- Maintains and responds to general employee inquiries to specified service levels, utilizing good judgement to escalate to HR partners as needed.
- Serve as a key partner to driving the employee engagement process, including deployment of engagement surveys, review of results and partnering with Ann Sacks management on the planning and execution of key initiatives to drive overall business unit engagement.
Benefits Administration
- Serve as liaison for workers’ compensation, leave of absence and disability claims as needed.
- Act as a liaison with the Kohler benefits department as necessary.
Skills/Requirements
- Requires minimum of 2 years of HR or related administrative experience, with preference given to experience in a manufacturing or distributed sales environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred, but not required.

The salary range for this position is $60,700 - $75,900. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
