About the role
January Digital is looking to bring on a Human Resources Senior Manager to join our People Team. This role reports directly into our President. The ideal candidate will have several years of progressive HR experience supporting multiple levels across a scaling organization. The traits of intellectual curiosity, direct but kind communication and a constant desire to create excellent employee experiences are key traits to possess. The person in this role will work across various functions within Human Resources and will have both an opportunity to grow and develop their own skillset while also mentoring and teaching members of the team and employees within the company. This role supports our Dallas and NY offices, as well as remote employees.
Responsibilities
- Keep a pulse on employee needs and develop creative, cost-effective, and industry-leading solutions to evolve our people organization.
- Travel Requirements: Must be able and willing to travel between NY & Dallas offices and to client and other company meetings within the U.S., as needed.
- Conduct exit interviews for all exiting employees at the Coordinator and Senior Coordinator level.
- Data-driven, heart-led HR professional. You will be both the heart and ears of the organization, a coach and guide to team members, as well as offer consistent auditing and reporting of HR related data.
- Oversee the end-to-end project management of our performance reviews, engagement surveys, onboarding, and offboarding process.
- Own the Learning & Development process at January Digital, including building out an ongoing curriculum of management and other trainings.
- Project management for ad hoc HR initiatives.
- Compile data from all employee touchpoints to present back to Senior Leadership, along with analysis and recommendations.
- Manage our internship program 3x a year and be the point person for our interns and their January Digital supervisors.
- Ensure our benefits, wellness and philanthropy programs are best-in-class and serve our employees’ needs.
- Actively drive forward DEI initiatives and work with our DEI Advisory Team to ensure we are consistently the most diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
- Oversee our “culture committee” which organizes and facilitates employee experience events for both the Dallas and NY office, including monthly team-building activities per office and several large-scale, all-company events.
- Be a strategic partner to our HR team – we are a small but mighty team that each wear many hats!
- Stay up to date on HR trends and share back recommendations to the team.
- Be a business partner to our executive team, management team and both of our line of business owners as they work to ensure excellent employee experiences, highly functioning teams and career progression for employees.
Qualifications
- SHRM certification preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in a growing, fast-paced organization, providing hands-on support to employees.
- General knowledge of HR policies and laws, including NY and Texas specific requirements.
- Experience being a people manager
- 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources, working across multiple verticals in the HR space.

January Digital is committed to providing our employees with flexible work options that allow them to balance their professional and personal responsibilities. As such, we offer a hybrid work policy that allows employees to divide their time between working in the office and working remotely. Under this policy, our employees are in the office on set days each week, and are always welcome to work in the office.
The salary range for this role in New York City is $90,500 to $110,000. Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes a bi-annual performance bonus, free health insurance, annual wellness stipend, company 401k contribution, & more.
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and specific work location. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at January Digital to enter the organization at a pay rate across this range and based on these factors, with room for internal growth through our annual merit increases.
