The Executive Director of Marketing will lead Groot Hospitality marketing initiatives for all establishments and new projects inclusive of both culinary and nightlife venues. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing overarching direction and strategy including but not limited to developing social media channels and corresponding content curation, creating unique marketing campaigns for existing and new venues, and general day-to-day digital operations. The Executive Director of Marketing will oversee the Groot Hospitality marketing department consisting of social media departments, nightlife, and restaurant teams.

Due to the nature of our business, this position may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to: General Duties and

Responsibilities:

· Overseeing Marketing department

· Evaluating and developing marketing strategy and marketing plan

· Planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts, and communicating the marketing plan to executive team and key stakeholders.

· Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing for all channels and venues

· Coordinate with partners, promotors, talent, and stakeholders on regular basis for weekly, monthly, and annual programming.

· Developing promotions and campaigns for existing and new venues

· Building brand awareness and positioning.

· Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish.

· Regular research of demand for our venues and services, along with regular competitor analysis

· Working with operations team to develop incentivizing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.

· Understanding of and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment, and profit-loss projections.

· Play a role in company conferences, branded partnerships, trade shows, and major events, as needed.

· Ability to work traditional office hours, as well as unpredictable hours. Nights and weekends as required for the job.

Education & Experience

· A minimum of 8-10 years of previous marketing experience required, agency or in-house.

· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.

· Master's preferred

· Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.

· Strong copywriting skills.

· Attention to detail.

· Proven ability to manage budgets.

· Professional and proactive work ethic.

· High competence in project and stakeholder management.

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

· Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.

· Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe software.
