SUMMARY
Hulu's Brand Marketing team is seeking an Executive Creative Director to join our group. The successful candidate will be a brand marketing guru with a track record of driving groundbreaking creative and never-before-seen audience engagement activities for our brand intiatives. This role will highlight your creativity and understanding of marketing channels to deliver breakthrough campaigns that generate a groundswell of love and fandom for entertainment properties, and you will be committed to making Hulu the number one destination for TV both in and out of the home, while embracing fun. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work closely with brand partners at Disney + and across the other brands within the Disney portfolio, including ABC, Freeform, FX, ABC News & Onyx Collective.
- Manage a 360 view of all brand campaigns & initiatives throughout the year, including selection and assignment of work to both outside agencies & internal talent.
- As needed, act as an effective proxy for department VP in stakeholder meetings, both internally and externally.
- Manage relationships with cross functional teams to execute campaigns; in particular, coordinate tightly with other brand marketing functions, including brand strategy, social, and PR to ensure campaigns fit with overall brand initiatives and communications timelines.
- Win support for your campaign ideas from all relevant partners, including Hulu executives.
- Directly supervise and effectively lead a team of editors and producers by inspiring creative thinking.
- Partner closely with brand strategy to develop the look and feel of all brand campaigns throughout Hulu.
- Provide creative guidance to internal team and outside agency partners to create promos, social assets and speciality brand intiatives.
- Develop tactics that bring cultural relevance to our brand among targeted audiences.
- Successfully prioritize and navigate process complexities and varying objectives between internal and external stakeholders.
WHAT TO BRING
- A genuine love for television and desire to change the status quo.
- Demonstrated experience directly managing a team of in-house creatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft story and represent it to executives, team members, and outside agencies.
- 10+ years of experience marketing content with a focus on entertainment brand strategy and a proven record of strong creative judgment to engage a mass audience.
- Experience managing creative budgets and systems.
- Ability to think strategically and innovate brand campaigns that successfully leverage existing IP as well as concepting completely new campaigns for big brand beats.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience within a subscription-based business a plus but not required.
- Copywriting, scripting, and proofreading acumen.
- Understanding of paid ads, ratings systems, and legal clearance procedures.
The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $175,680.00 to $241,560.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
