Job Description

CM Industrial is delighted to be working exclusively with a Smart Buildings Technology firm who are in the process of expanding its executive team. My client operates across North America and they are seeking a Director of Sales to head up commercial activity in the US for their SaaS business.


My client needs an individual who can help exceed their sales targets by designing and implementing a sales strategy to exceed YOY targets and lead a commercial team of talented sales, marketing, and customer success professionals across the US.


You will also assume 'hands-on' responsibility for supporting new Enterprise customer acquisitions and understanding client needs by proactively supporting and challenging their aims to ensure that each project achieves long-term success.


You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer for monthly reporting on sales performance, pipeline, and strategy.


Other responsibilities will include:

  • Examine sales, marketing, and financial data to spot key trend analysis.
  • Managing all account management and alliance efforts for existing customers.
  • Deliver extraordinary and realistic sales strategies.
  • Improve end-to-end sales processes including lead generating through close and success.
  • Hiring.


What do we need from you?

  • Experience building out a high-performing Commercial organization.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience, with 5+ years of experience in the Built Environment space. Management experience is also a necessary requirement.
  • Extensive Enterprise sales experience gained in a SaaS environment.
  • Capable of navigating and closing complex, high-value deals with a senior stakeholder audience.
  • A strong understanding of the fundamentals of a customer buying process and handling large accounts, with multiple decision-makers.
