Summary


As the brand is growing, so is our team! Egglife Foods is looking for a Director/Senior Director, Sales, to join the sales team, reporting to the Vice President, Sales. This position will primarily focus on nurturing the egglife brand and own volume and revenue targets across key National & Regional Retailers. The Director/Senior Director, Sales will deliver targets by executing the right mix of merchandising, assortment, pricing, promotion and space growth levers in existing Egglife retail partners and well as sourcing through and securing new partners through business development.

Essential job functions


Working with guidance and support from the Vice President, Sales, but with expected autonomy you will:


  • Manage our most strategic National & Regional Accounts
  • Review the business through regular analysis of syndicated consumption data and sales, by customer and item, to identify trends and develop action plans to correct, or capitalize on those trends as needed
  • Partner with Vice President, Sales to define annual plan & forecast with volume and revenue targets
  • Collaborate closely with the Category Managers to develop joint business plans; identifying key strategies & actions that Egglife and the retailer will invest behind to achieve necessary volume & revenue targets
  • Understand Category Management “Best Practices” and leverage merchandising, assortment, pricing, promotion and space (MAPPS) levers to drive egglife growth and establish Egglife as a leading better for you brand
  • Define the customer segmentation; identifying the target retailers and appropriate prioritization to pitch & secure incremental Egglife Partnerships
  • Partner closely with the Vice President, Sales & Chief Marketing Officer to ensure right marketing spend and tactics to support plan & deliver targets
  • Determine the appropriate sales support budget to ensure achievement of the annual plan and manage spend across the partner base in line with budget throughout the year
  • Work closely with retail partners (and the Egglife Retail Excellence Team) to expand the egglife brand with discipline & excellence, and drive sustainable growth
  • Partner closely with Head of Retail Excellence to ensure right coverage of in-store audits and engagement across National & Regional Accounts to deliver volume & revenue targets
  • Analyze retailer, syndicated, shopper & distributor data to support all planning, selling and execution activities across the retailers



Qualifications


  • Experience calling on National Account & Regional HQ Category Leaders & Stakeholders
  • Track record of consistently delivering results
  • Experience building and leading high performing teams
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Creative strategist, exceptional critical thinker and problem solver
  • 5+ years sales experience within CPG industry preferred
  • Comfortable and able to succeed in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
  • Strong category/product management acumen to instill confidence as thought leader with Retail & Distributor Partners
  • Location: Chicago, Illinois or near a major metropolitan airport
  • 5+ years sales experience, with Retailer/Key Account & Distributor experiences preferred
  • Experience analyzing sales and shopper data to build actionable plan
  • Exceptional communicator: verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical mind with experience analyzing syndicated data
