Vice President, Technology Jobs

About The Position

Currently, we are looking for a dedicated VP, Technology for our corporate office and Executive team, based in Burnaby. Some travel to Regional Offices is required.

Reporting to the President and CEO, the VP, Technology oversees the Integrated Technology group at Houle, consisting of the following groups: Security and Healthcare Technology, Building Automation, and Data/ Structured Cabling. Please note, this is NOT an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY role.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure the goals of the Technology group support the Houle strategy.
• Advise and implement industry/field best practices to improve applications and services.
• Provide monthly reporting to the executive group.
• Review customer feedback and ensure retention of customers and growth goals.
• Develop the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning, recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
• Represent Houle with industry associations, professional organizations and affiliations for the purpose of developing relationships with customers, contractors and community leaders.
• Provide the tools, training and environment required to achieve employee success within the technology group.
• Provide technical, leadership and accountability oversight for technology aspects of projects, and service management agreements.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of performance against budget, financial and operational goals for technology group.
• Ensure the proper implementation of all company policies, procedures and productivity tools.
• Plan, organize, and lead all the technology sales and operations activities to assure profitable growth.
• Working through the team, ensure effective execution of product management, project management, design engineering, system installation and commissioning, and service agreements.

Experience And Skills

• Technical Degree, Business Degree, MBA or equivalent education and experience
• 15+ years' experience in a senior management of medium to large size organization

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN HVAC START-UP TECHNICIAN
As an HVAC Start-Up Technician, you'll be at the forefront of our residential new construction installations. You'll perform start-up and functionality checks of HVAC systems, ensuring that they're optimized for peak performance. With your meticulous eye for detail, you'll document every system and repair with precision. The Minimum Requirements To Be Considered
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should meet the following requirements:

• Must have EPA certification
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• HVAC school or experience is preferred, but not required

WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position that works a Monday-to-Friday schedule, allowing you to have your weekends free to recharge and pursue your passions.
