Job Description

Vice President of Business Development - Houston, TX


Our client is a leading broker delivering value-add services in the Mergers & Acquisitions space. The firm is actively seeking a Vice President of Business Development with a proven background in Client Development and Talent Acquisition with strong ties to the Houston area. This position will work with a tight-knit team of individuals in their downtown Houston, TX office onsite 3 to 4 days a week.

  • Base Salary: $120,000 - $160,000


Specific responsibilities associated with the position are expected to include:

  • Develop a methodology for regular, periodic outreach to key clients and targets.
  • Share insights with potential prospects.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Research relevant prospects and collaborate with the Business Development team on strategy and viability.
  • Source business opportunities from private equity sponsors and strategies.
  • Coordinate with other AGR teams if opportunities related to their practice areas were discussed.


Preferred Background:

  • Experience in, and ties to, the Houston business community.
  • Several years of sales, marketing, business development, and relationship management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
