Western Advanced Network Solutions is in search of a skilled and dedicated IT professional to join our dynamic team, where we are committed to delivering top-notch services and management that drive our clients' business objectives forward. In this role, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy while collaborating within a close-knit and experienced team. Our work environment is relaxed and informal, and we take pride in serving a select group of clients in New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Texas. While occasional client site visits in Texas are necessary, the majority of your work will be carried out remotely, from the comfort of your home.

– System Support Administrator
As a System Support Administrator, you will work closely with a small team to support both current and new client IT environments. Your responsibilities will include providing daily end-user support for IT hardware and software, maintaining service and configuration standards, planning and participating in deployments, and assisting in upholding security and business continuity preparedness. You may also be required to develop customized or innovative solutions to address unique client issues. Your duties will involve responding to direct customer service requests and system alerts, with occasional client site visits necessary for support or project work. Very infrequent overnight engagements for larger projects may be required.

Minimum Requirements
Highly experienced with Microsoft server and client operating system fundamentals, including Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2019, and Server 2022.
Basic knowledge of best practices for Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, File and Print.
Basic experience with endpoint security solution installation and management.
Extensive experience with patch management for Microsoft and other software.
Moderate experience with WiFi systems.
Highly experienced with user software installation, maintenance, and support.
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for client site visits (company vehicle may be provided).
Excellent ability to connect with end-users and managers to resolve issues, de-escalate situations, and build relationships.
Must reside within 50 miles of the Dallas/Fort Worth area for occasional client site visits.
Optional But Desirable Knowledge And Experience
WordPress installation, maintenance, and website building with 3rd party templates.
IT experience in financial institutions and automotive dealerships.
Basic to moderate Linux/Unix experience and familiarity with common services.
Perimeter firewall administration.
Knowledge of server and storage hardware.
Familiarity with routing and switching.
Other Requirements
Must pass a background check and have no convictions for any violent or financial crimes.
Capable of lifting 40 pounds from the floor to counter level.
Proficient in using basic hand tools.
Must be a US citizen.
