We are seeking a talented Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a Purchasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our reputation for delivering high-quality homes and exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
Purchasing and Contracts Management: Overseeing all aspects of purchasing and contract management.
Cost Negotiation: Skillfully negotiating the best possible pricing while maintaining quality standards.
Innovative Sourcing: Creatively sourcing new products to enhance cost-efficiency and the aesthetic appeal of our properties.
Collaboration: Working closely with senior management to determine or update specifications.
Detailed Estimations: Developing comprehensive estimates for renovations and new residential construction projects.
Contract Management: Managing contracts for all trades and subcontractors.
Contractor Recruitment: Actively recruiting, training, and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors.
Communication: Ensuring effective communication with the Construction Team to optimize project outcomes.
Financial Management: Creating and managing Purchase Orders (POs) and handling invoicing upon project completion.
Quality Assurance: Conducting field audits to ensure work aligns with contractual specifications.
Cost Efficiency: Striving to complete projects under budget and continuously seeking cost-reduction opportunities.
Documentation: Maintaining organized records and updating the property database and reports.
Adaptability: Embracing the opportunity to contribute to the company's diverse and dynamic needs.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of purchasing experience with a major home builder or remodeling company.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Excel.
Education: Bachelor's Degree.
Language Skills: Spanish speaking is a plus but not a requirement.
