Job Summary
As a Financial Analyst with the company, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential financial support and insights to our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include financial analysis, reporting, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Excel Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced skills in Excel to effectively analyze financial data.
Attention to Detail: Maintain a keen eye for detail while conducting financial assessments.
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Use your FP&A background to perform various financial analyses for our operating functions.
Primary Duties
Generate revenue reports for different functions within the organization.
Provide financial reporting to management, ensuring that revenues and expenses are closely monitored and financial concerns are promptly addressed.
Analyze monthly financial statements for divisions, regions, and functional areas, along with operating expenses.
Prepare monthly financial analysis and reports, and contribute to monthly forecasting efforts.
Develop, coordinate, and prepare financial plans for regional, distribution center, sales, and marketing operating expenses.
Assist in generating reports for new business initiatives, including customer pricing and profitability calculations.
Monitor credit terms and loan agreements by analyzing financial statements of borrowing customers and enforcing credit limits.
Create and present productivity and efficiency analyses for distribution centers and sales and marketing functions.
Conduct pricing analysis for potential and existing customers, supporting contract negotiations.
Develop financial models to assess capital expenditure requests using discounted cash flow analysis.
Monitor and track capital expenditure requests and associated expenditures.
Analyze monthly gross profit components, reporting significant variances.
Oversee physical inventories, including inventory adjustments and control procedures.
Analyze monthly revenue variances and review travel and expense reports, among other expenditures.
Generate ad hoc analysis reports as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned, leveraging your knowledge of financial management areas such as credit and collection principles, commercial credit, financial statement analysis, and business law.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of ABC policies, philosophy, goals, and objectives to ensure effective financial oversight.
Proficiency in accounting and planning software packages.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to interpret profit and loss statements effectively.
Capable of implementing processes to ensure satisfactory audit practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
