We are a leading national consulting firm specializing in QuickBooks solutions. Our mission is to provide exceptional services, training, and support to help businesses thrive. We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team and contribute to our clients' success.
What We Need
If you are analytical, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, an excellent multitasker, hardworking, incredibly organized, and passionate about accounting and bookkeeping, we want you on our team! As an Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely management of accounting operations for a variety of industries and customers. Your responsibilities will include maintaining quality control over transactions and reporting, assisting small and medium-sized businesses with QuickBooks setup, training, support, and troubleshooting, as well as reconciling accounts and providing monthly financials.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant bookkeeping work experience.
3+ years of managerial-level accounting/bookkeeping experience.
2+ years of construction accounting experience.
Minimum of 3 years of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online experience.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a plus (training provided for the right candidate).
Previous experience working in a fully remote role.
General Skills And Qualifications
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including general ledger, A/P, A/R, cash management, and job costing.
Proficiency in preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports in QuickBooks.
Advanced Excel skills, including macros/VBA, data translation, formula creation, and data manipulation.
Familiarity with 1099 reporting.
Ability to work with both cash and accrual basis accounting.
Excellent computer skills and a willingness to learn new technology.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and tasks.
Adaptability to handle frequent changes and project-specific requirements.
Capacity to retain knowledge about all assigned customers and understand their businesses.
Experience working with a variety of industries, including but not limited to construction, insurance, manufacturing, retail, landscaping, real estate, computer/software, and healthcare.
