Job Description
Position Overview
The Audiology Coordinator collaborates closely with our Audiologist to ensure that our patients receive top-quality care and service. By working hand-in-hand with healthcare professionals on-site, the Audiology Coordinator provides valuable support to referring physicians and patients. This role involves delivering essential hearing knowledge, managing appointment scheduling, and offering assistance within our clinic.
Industry/Product Knowledge Desired
Prior experience or knowledge of hearing aids is a valuable asset.
Preferred Education And Experience
A minimum of two years of college education and at least one year of related experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
Proficiency In Computer Skills Is Essential.
Experience in insurance, coding, and billing is preferred.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Answer phone calls and promptly respond to patient inquiries via phone and email.
Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
Collect patient co-pays and payments.
Schedule patient appointments using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and maintain appointment schedules for each clinician.
Obtain and update patient demographic and insurance information.
Contact patients before their appointments for referrals or to provide cost estimates.
Distribute new patient case history forms and update paperwork as needed.
Verify insurance authorizations and benefits before appointments.
Obtain insurance authorization for equipment as directed by the audiologist.
Provide equipment estimates and good faith estimates to patients' families.
Reach out to families when patient information or documents are required before upcoming appointments.
Act as a liaison between clinicians and patients/families.
Create and adjust clinician schedule templates as necessary.
Ensure accurate balance collection and invoicing at appointments.
Scan patient medical records into the EMR system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
A preferred minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a healthcare environment.
Additional Information
Previous customer service experience is required.
This position is based at our Southlake Location.
Remote work arrangements are not available for this position.
