Job Responsibilities

• Place outbound calls to patients, providers, insurance companies, and other departments to resolve patient financial questions
• Assist with authorization form recovery activities and coverage/guarantor related issues
• Answer financial questions related to appointments, including charge estimates, pre-service payments, and insurance information
• Handle exception-based pre-registration and registration activities for hospital admissions, outpatient, ED, and clinic visits
• Resolve missing registration items through work queues, in-basket messages, and phone calls

Job Qualifications

• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of Epic RC/EMR system preferred
• Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and handling skills
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Self-motivated, self-directed, and highly organized
• Ability to work in a complex and patient-centered environment
• High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Intermediate math competency

Job Details

• Weekend Schedule: Based on business need
• Exemption Status: Nonexempt
• Schedule: Full Time, 80 hours/pay period
• Schedule Details: 100% remote, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST or 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. CST
• Benefits Eligible: Yes
• Compensation: $20.45 - $31.98 per hour
