Employer is seeking a candidate for a customer service role that offers a positive and rewarding experience.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities


Phones and Processing:


  • Research account details and make necessary edits per customer request.
  • Provide excellent customer service and accurate information to callers.
  • Make outbound calls to follow up with customers and provide account updates.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to customer questions and requests.
  • Compile and prepare information for loan adjustments, new loans, or loan consolidation.


Account Management


  • Revise and update account information in accordance with customer requests and company policies.
  • Document customer interactions and actions performed in the system.
  • Send necessary documents and communications to borrowers, schools, and institutions.


Qualifications


  • Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior call center or customer service experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience.


Physical Requirements And Work Environment


  • Use a phone for the duration of the shift.
  • Communicate effectively using telephone, email, chat, and written communication.
  • Remain sedentary for extended periods.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Perform work in an office environment.
  • Regular and predictable on-site attendance.
  • Utilize keyboarding skills and basic math skills.
  • Operate basic office equipment (fax machine, copier, telephone, printer, etc.).


Additional Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities


  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to make adjustments, updates, or corrections to accounts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and multitask.
  • Understanding of loan activity, such as accruing interest, deferment, forbearance, and payment posting.
  • Willingness to learn and understand Agency policies, procedures, and operations, as well as the student lending industry and borrower information systems.
