Responsibilities

• Contact care providers on behalf of customers to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists
• Educate customers about consumer-driven health care and guide them in selecting the best benefit plan options and maximizing their health plan benefits
• Help customers navigate online tools and encourage self-sufficiency in using these resources
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to benefits, eligibility, claims, and financial spending accounts

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
• Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 4:30pm EST, with occasional overtime as needed
• Minimum of 2+ years of combined education, work, and/or volunteer experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, or behavior change
• Sales or account management experience
• Familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design

Telecommuting Requirements

• Have a dedicated work area that provides information privacy
• Ability to keep company sensitive documents secure
• Access to a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or existing high-speed internet service
• Reside within the state of New York

Additional Information

• Salary range for New York residents is $16.00 - $27.31 based on factors such as education, work experience, and certifications
• No PTO is allowed during training and 100% attendance is required
