Job Duties


  • Coordinate prior authorizations, investigate alternative insurance coverage, or other funding sources on behalf of patients
  • Document calls in appropriate tracking systems and handle/escalate calls per established procedures
  • Quickly and efficiently respond to incoming calls and faxes, identify how best to assist
  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls from customers regarding patient assistance programs, compliance programs, and general questions
  • Conduct insurance verifications to determine eligibility for coverage


Preferred Experience


  • 2+ years of healthcare experience with Insurance Verification, Prior Authorization, or Benefit Investigations
  • Experience working in a remote setting preferred
  • Strong computer and technology knowledge
  • 1+ years of experience in a call center environment or handling 50+ calls daily
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbally and written


Schedule Commitments


  • Program specific training duration is approximately 4 weeks, with training hours of 9:00a-5:30p EST or 6:00a-2:30p PST
  • Onboard training is the first two days, anticipated training time for onboarding will be 8:30a-5p EST or 8:30a-5p PST
  • Shift hours after training will fall between the program's hours of operations: 8:30a-8:00p EST/5:30 a-5p PST and will be determined once training is completed
  • No PTO allowed during training period


Other Details


  • 3-6 month contract, with potential for direct hire
  • Start Date is 10/2
  • $21 hourly pay rate
