WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a seasoned Client Services Manager with 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, demanding, client-facing role. Candidate has either been in-house or at a top agency, working with leading brands to activate on the ground experiential IRL and digital events, programs, and campaigns. Qualified candidates must display a proven track record of overseeing complex, multifaceted, multilayered projects, and the ability to work across departments to ensure flawless execution of sponsorship activations and contracted deliverables. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, deadline-driven, and is a great communicator. A resourceful problem solver who can work under pressure and pivot, when necessary, while maintaining a positive attitude, will fit best in this role and with the team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting directly to the Client Services Director, Business Development & Partnerships, you will be responsible for successfully managing the execution of all contractually obligated deliverables for sponsors while upholding the integrity, values, and reputation of the Recording Academy. The Client Services Manager will play a supporting role in the business development process to identify opportunities to expand on existing partner commitments and secure new sponsors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrange and lead post-mortem discussions to report on program successes and improvement areas.
- Serve as the day-to-day Client Services lead for Recording Academy partners to execute client programs, activations, and deliverables.
- Create partner resource documents and guides to keep them informed throughout GRAMMY Season.
- Lead planning and touch-base meetings with partners throughout GRAMMY Season and for off-season programs, producing agendas, meeting recaps and all necessary documentation associated with the project management.
- Work with the Sales Team in a supporting role in prospecting for new partners.
- Lead the creation and completion of partner recap PPT decks in a timely fashion in collaboration with the Sales Team, Marketing, and Business Intelligence.
- Oversee budget tracking for partner programs and activations to ensure they stay within budget, reducing costs where possible.
- Participate in special projects defined by Client Services Director, Business Development & Partnerships.
- Recognize opportunities to drive revenue by expanding current partner commitments.
- Stay updated with current trends in brand partnerships, sponsorship activations, and client service best practices.
- Manage the allocation and distribution of in-kind product donations in collaboration with Event Leads
- Create post-mortem recap documents.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Digital Media, Production, Communications, Marketing, Creative Services, etc.) to execute client programs and deliverables.
- Develop, oversee, and execute project plans and work back schedules to meet key deadlines.
- Identify and manage external vendor relationships.
- Work closely with Sales Team and Account Leads to review partner contracts, deliverables, budgets, goals and KPIs
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing contracts and executing deliverables.
- Music, Sports, Entertainment industry experience preferred.
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (key focus on PPT and Excel).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Production, Events or relevant field.
- Exemplary project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex projects and meeting strict deadlines.
- Poise and Presence
- Work confidently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to problem-solve in real time.
- Deep understanding of marketing, social media, and digital technologies.
- Minimum 5+years in a client-facing role focused on sponsorship activations and event production.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Integrity to safeguard confidential information.
- Capability to multi-task and manage multiple sponsorship activities at once.
- Ability to work independently.
