Product Development Manager Jobs

Our Advertising Services client in San Diego is looking for a Product Development Manager to join their team in a full-time capacity.

This is a hybrid role in San Diego (onsite Tues-Thurs, with the ability to work from home on Mondays and Fridays).

This Product Development Manager will be responsible for:

- Working collaboratively with licensees to develop products that maximize our clients’ brand equities, providing input and direction that enhance the product and increase the probability of the product’s success in market

- Evaluating licensed products for equity fit, quality, safety, functionality, and ultimately marketability

- Assessing messaging and execution of packaging, catalogs, and marketing materials and provide input and direction to enhance the sale of licensed products

- Managing review process between clients and licensees using proprietary PD system

- Ensuring broad understanding of clients and their trademarks – client’s core product lines, brand equity attributes, and visual standards to effectively evaluate product execution

- Identify opportunities to grow revenue through new products and product enhancements

- As directed, perform reporting on licensed products in the market

- Stay current on competitive and licensee activity with retail checks and online reviews

This Product Development Manager will need:

- 8+ years of professional experience with specific experience in licensed products in a design or product development capacity

- Experience in hardlines (toys/ collectibles) and/or gaming

- Strong project management abilities, capable of prioritizing & handling multiple projects simultaneously

- Systematic with an eye for detail, good critical thinking skills and ability to provide creative solutions

- Excellent communication skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office

- Adobe Creative Suite helpful (Photoshop, Illustrator)
