About The Team


You will be a part of the Subscriptions team at Quizlet. The team is responsible for driving subscription revenue growth by choosing which features to make premium, pricing and packaging strategy, optimizing the subscriptions funnel, and driving direct-to-school sales.


About The Role


In this role, you will own the direct-to-school sales targets, close the mid-large sized inbound demand, build an outbound sales pipeline, and translate it into revenue. In this position, you'll partner with the User Operations team to close inbound deals, as well as understand customer needs and pain points. You will also work with Product teams to provide critical product features and the needs of the customer. Lastly, you will build sales processes, playbooks, and standard operating procedures to scale your impact through a potential future sales team.


This is a hybrid role. While you are currently permitted to work remotely in Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and the San Francisco Bay Area, you must remain able to work in the office as business needs dictate and as identified by your manager.


In This Role, You Will


  • Work closely with other key partners such as User Operations/Customer Support, and Product, to deliver key customer insights
  • Manage daily and weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts, and closed deals to meet and exceed quota
  • Develop a deep understanding of Quizlet products, customer needs, and the competitive market
  • Proactively seek new opportunities with the K-12 and Higher Education institutions, forming relationships with School/District Administrators, CIOs, and teachers
  • Implement repeatable, scalable sales processes to drive predictable revenue at scale
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Manage full sales cycle from initial contact to close
  • Drive revenue by prospecting and delivering a sales pipeline
  • Be responsible for individual quota with the potential to build a team


What You Bring To The Table


  • Team player with the ability to work in a distributed and international environment
  • 5+ years of Enterprise Software/SaaS experience, preferably in K-12 or Higher Education
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • An overall drive and hunger to outperform in a fast-growing environment
  • Proven track record in developing leads and business pipelines and translating them into revenue
  • Not afraid to push the boundaries of what’s possible and raise the bar
  • A drive and hunger to proactively identify opportunities, make things happen despite the challenges, and deliver substantial impact
  • Working knowledge of K-12 or Higher Education buying processes and markets

  • Deep understanding and prior sales experience, specifically in the Education sector

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $140,000 - $200,000, and total OTE of $250,000 - $300,000, depending on location and experience, plus company stock options
