Overview

The Plant Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic member of the Plant Management and Global Supply Chain leadership team. This role will be critical in working with Plant Management, Global Supply Chain, and the extended organization to proactively identify and execute on organizational priorities and drive culture change. This position is responsible for completing all job duties in a manner that supports safety, quality, and productivity practices by performing the following duties personally or through other resources.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on robust planning to ensure the plant organizational structure and performance objectives align with the business strategy and assist management in communicating objectives.
• Lead the implementation of strategic HR initiatives related to people development, talent management, staffing, retention, inclusion & diversity, organizational development, and performance management.
• Work closely with Payroll & Benefits to ensure compliance with all payroll and benefits related issues.
• Ensure all governmental and regulatory requirements are met by maintaining accurate records, submit all reports in a timely manner and insisting that all employees follow the required legal guidelines without deviation.
• Identify needs, attract, and recruit exceptional talent needed to address gaps in required capabilities and succession depth; deliver exceptional onboarding and orientation programs to facilitate engagement and early success for new employees.
• Build strong partnership with the plant and corporate employees and management team.
• Define and deliver on exceptional employee engagement practices that encourage maximized effort by all employees to drive a safe, productive, and positive workplace.
• Maintain HR department budget and partner with the leadership during the annual budget process.
• Be willing to accept growth opportunity by performing other duties and participate in special projects as assigned by the RHRM.
• Ensure that all levels of management and employees follow and adhere to the principles and values of the Masonite Framework.
• Perform internal investigations, prepare necessary documentation, and testify at hearings, as required.
• Act as a change leader and coach to management on Human Resource issues by identifying problem areas, proposing solutions to correct any issues, and executing those solutions in a timely manner.
• Work with the EHS Manager to manage all work related or non-work-related leave of absence cases, claims, and the coordination of the RTW process as needed.
• Build and enhance leadership skills of plant management and supply chain teams to ensure operational excellence to transform the business.
• Implement effective measurements and metrics to accurately identify potential opportunities to drive improvements that deliver on exceptional performance.
• Ensure all members of management apply all policies and regulations in a consistent manner by performing periodic audits of employee related actions.

Qualifications

• Experience with an HRIS; Timekeeping systems; Internet software
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
• Master's degree a plus
• PHR/SPHR preferred
• 5 to 8 years of proven excellence in Human Resources Management

Desired Characteristics

• Prior HR Management experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish would be an asset.
• Ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Demonstrated success at leading multiple programs / projects at the same time, drive change and competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Ability to influence, coach & engage at all levels of the business.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Prior HR Management experience in a corporate environment a plus
