ABOUT SLOOMOO INSTITUTE
Sloomoo Institute is a rapidly growing interactive experience based on slime and ASMR. We are an art-inspired, immersive haven of color, design and play. Launched in NYC in the fall of 2019, Sloomoo Institute has been an enormous success, attracting hundreds of thousands of guests and billions of media impressions. This role falls within the people and culture department and is integral to the success of all people initiatives. The People Ops Lead will have a focus on the talent acquisition process and will support all functions of the people department including compliance, employee relations. This person will own the employee culture and be a steward for the disseminating that culture in every employee experience.

·Energetic, perceptive, confident problem solver with a good sense of humor

·Must be well organized and a self-starter
·Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
·Demonstrated and comprehensive knowledge of all human resource best practices, policies and procedures as well as state and federal compliance matters
·Knowledge or employment and labor laws
·Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
·All qualified candidates are required to pass a criminal background check
·Qualified candidates should have approximately 5+ years of relevant experience
·Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality
·Meticulous attention to detail
·SHRM certification a plus
Responsibilities
·HAVE FUN!
·Manage the talent acquisition process from recruitment to hire through internal and external avenues
·Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs
·Maintain and update job descriptions
·Support with employee onboarding
·Support employees with HR related questions about general policies including leaves, compensation and benefits
·Promote HR programs to align with the brand through the creation of an inclusive, efficient and supportive work environment
·Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies
·Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics including time to hire and employee turnover rates
·Organize and support annual performance review cycle
·Maintain employee files including PIPs, incidents, I9
·Respond to
·Ensure compliance with all labor laws
·Support all employee relations issues including investigations, documentation and follow ups
Success in this Role Looks Like…
·Filling open requisitions within 30 days
·Less than $50K spent on outside recruiters
·Monthly reporting of required metrics including complaints, PIPs, incidents
·Follow up on all incidents and employee relations issues within the designated 7 day time frame
