Imports Coordinator Jobs

The Imports Coordinator will work with internal and external partners to ensure purchase orders are shipped from our overseas factories timely, accurately, and cost effectively. They will also ensure that we are fully compliant within the guidelines and laws of international trade to meet our customers’ needs.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate shipment sizes and work consolidation efforts to ensure proper container utilization
• Manage transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
• Develop shipping plans to balance workload for distribution for larger programs while still meeting customer needs
• Coordinate all shipment bookings between factories, Production, and Logistics partners
• Work with suppliers to ensure that all documents are submitted timely and accurately
• Partner with Finance and Production to issue new Letter of Credit (LOC) for purchase orders
• Create weekly reporting on logistics activities including transit times, container counts by O-D pair, container utilization, etc.
• Review customs entries, including 7501 documents, to ensure accuracy and compliance

Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Office with a focus on MS Excel
• Knowledge of import tariffs, duty rates, and taxes associated with imports into the US and Canada
• Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• 2 years’ experience in International Logistics, Imports, or other related field
• Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
• Experience with SAP or other ERP software
• Effective communication, including writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication
• Ability to manage time effectively, remain organized, and be detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment

Annual salary range: $60,000 - $65,000
