Manager, HR & Business Operations
Location: Remote/home office. Must be able to attend team meetings in the Greater Boston area twice/year.

Job Summary:
ClearRock is hiring a Manager of HR & Business Operations, who will ensure the smooth operation of the Company’s HR, finance, and IT functions, as well as provide support in the areas of contracting, meeting & event planning/management, DEI programming, and social media. This is a multi-faceted and critical role in the organization, and the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to have a substantial impact on the growth of ClearRock in the next 2-3 years.
Responsibilities:
HR Operations (40%)
- Process payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations/agencies
- Co-lead the company’s DEIB initiatives
- Maintain relationships with insurance brokers/providers, accounting/tax professionals and legal counsel
- Manage the relationship with the Company’s benefits and 401(K) providers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness of enrollment and other critical tasks, and compliance with all regulations
- With the support of outsourced partners, ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; maintain necessary records
- Maintain personnel records, company directory, etc.
- Work with President on talent strategy and enhance the employee experience by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
- Help resolve employee relations issues as necessary
- Manage/coordinate the company’s recruiting, hiring, and onboarding efforts
- Develop and maintain new policies and procedures, and manage/maintain the Employee Guide
Financial Operations (30%)
- Work with President to develop and manage budgets
- Review client Master Service Agreements (MSAs); collaborate with Account Managers and clients, as well as legal counsel when necessary, to ensure that ClearRock’s interests are protected with the client’s needs are supported
- Maintain relationship with the company’s bank
- Collaborate with bookkeeper to ensure timely, accurate AR and AP, as well as financial reporting
- Receive and process mail; deposit checks
General/Administrative (30%)
- Liaise with Regus (and other co-working spaces) regarding lease arrangements and contracts, bookings, issues, and other questions/concerns.
- Collaborate with SBO team to plan internal and external meetings and events
- Participate in various virtual meetings with internal teams, quarterly all-hands-company meetings, and monthly Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging meetings
- Maintain the Outlook company calendar
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain the company’s Office365 infrastructure (Teams, SharePoint, etc), with an eye on optimization and efficiency
- Attend in-person full-day all-hands meetings twice a year in the Boston area
- Provide administrative support to the Leadership Team and SBO (Sales & Business Operations) team as needed, including scheduling, travel planning, research, etc.
- Support the company’s IT needs by providing Office365 set-up, zoom platform set-up troubleshooting and support as able and liaising with third-party IT support company as necessary
Desired Experience & Attributes:
- General HR experience; understanding of the components of HR compliance
- Prior experience working remotely is a plus.

- Strong focus on process optimization; willingness to dive deep into the tools the company uses, seek opportunities for optimization, and implement changes
- Able to travel around Boston Metro area regularly for appointments/meetings.
- Strong cultural acumen and experience working with and supporting diverse talent.
- In-depth understanding of Office365. Adept at using platforms such as HubSpot, QuickBooks Online, Paychex, or similar
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity and good judgment in decision-making
- Manages multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and prioritizes efficiently
- Responds positively to pressure and fast pace
- High degree of professionalism with strong business acumen

- General understanding of the principles of financial management – AR/AP, reporting, etc
