Job Description

The Sr. HR Business Partner & Organizational Development provides leadership for building and executing an enterprise-wide development strategy. It will be a hands-on leader responsible for learning solutions, talent management, and development of an inclusive development strategy. It will serve as an organizational development liaison and advisor to LALA US Inc. leadership and facilitate those initiatives across the enterprise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their organizational design needs, talent acquisition requirements, and as needed, develop a multi-faceted recruitment strategy.
  • Develops, implements, and oversees a leadership development program, as well as fast-track high potential emerging leaders.
  • Manages and conducts new hire onboarding / orientation.
  • Assesses, reports, and delivers critical data/metrics related to the effectiveness of training in terms of organizational strategic goals, employee accomplishments and performance.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for employee relations issues and investigative concerns. Partners with Legal as needed.
  • Consults with leadership, in partnership with Human Resources Business Partners, on performance, organizational, and leadership matters.
  • Designs, enhances, and drives HR and Organizational Development programs and solutions.
  • Ensure operational excellence to broad based initiatives including talent reviews, workforce planning, talent analytics and overall process improvements.
  • Oversees and manages performance management, the Employee Engagement Survey, the Individual Development Plan system, the mentorship, and executive coaching programs for the company.
  • Oversees organization-wide succession planning including development planning and coaching.
  • Provides a broad range of consultative services to all levels of employees. May guide managers and employees on problem solving, improving performance, organizational diagnosis, goal alignment, teambuilding, and continuous improvement.
  • Leads the talent planning process and designs solutions related to employee engagement and change management.
  • Assesses, evaluates, and recommends tools, applications and technologies that will help to standardize and automate processes and create organizational efficiency.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives for the Dallas office and field-based employees including conducting and acting upon engagement surveys. Partner with HR at other LALA US sites to ensure consistency in application of engagement programs.
  • Assess the organization's capability to deliver on business strategies, and translate business needs into HR strategies.
  • Analyze key trends HR metrics, identify areas of opportunity, and develop related reports, talent analytics and action plans.
  • Advise and collaborate with leaders on a variety of talent strategies, provide business insights through organizational and talent analytics, and drive key change and talent initiatives.

SKILLS / OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Strong and broad HR toolbox and a good overview of the many different levels which can be pulled to shape an organization.
  • Proven track record within the fields of Organizational Development, specifically within People Performance Management, Culture Development, Talent Management, Employee Engagement and Leadership Development.
  • Comfortable interfacing with stakeholders and employees across the organization.
  • Self-starter with high emotional intelligence
  • A structured approach to problem solving and strong project management skills.
  • Proven track record with development of new people processes and systems and organizational anchoring of same
  • Experience with developing talent development programs and initiatives as well as coaching of senior leaders
  • Takes initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and makes continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written/oral and presentation/facilitation skills.
  • Analytical and data management experience.
  • A proven track record of combining a deep understanding of the business (including goals, strategies, culture and global challenges) with a well-developed consultative approach, to partner with business leadership in creating and implementing solutions which positively help the business achieve its objectives.
  • An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with exceptional judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to adapt to change in the work environment and manage competing demands, and to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Strong personal drive, curiosity, resilient, and proactive team player.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of related experience, including a strong emphasis on talent acquisition, learning, talent development, and project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial or Labor Relations or other related field.
  • Strong knowledge of local and federal employment law (including FMLA, ADA, etc.).
  • Highly ethical.
  • Thrives in a fast paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Optimistic and innovative attitude.
  • PHR, PHR, SHRM-CP certification preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.
  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is necessary.
  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending on the project or assignment.
