Summary:
This position is responsible for the overall development, business management, and growth of our international beef and pork case ready, value added, and portioned product sales. It may also include the development of Sales and Marketing (S&M) programs. The individual must be creative and understand all facets of the business including sales, marketing, production, logistics, quality assurance, while cultivating successful international business partnerships through cross-cultural integration. The position requires the ability to motivate these groups to work together as a team to satisfy the international customer base and achieve sales and profit goals.
Location: This position will be based out of Tyson’s WHQ in Springdale, Arkansas. Relocation assistance will be provided for those who qualify per Tyson’s relocation policy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Closely monitor market conditions / industry trends and effectively develop and present business updates to management.
- Exploring and pursuing new sales opportunities by country.
- Working with the CRVA team, the overseas offices, and the international beef and pork directors to recognize opportunities within the group while satisfying and optimizing international customer needs. This includes identifying and implementing business process improvements and engaging the necessary teams to drive OneTyson revenue.
- The essential function of this position is directing and developing the sales of fresh meat Case Ready Value Added (CRVA) products in various international markets.
Additional Duties Include:
- Segmenting new markets and then defining niches suitable for Tyson products.
- Working with Regional Trade Directors in developing opportunities and strategies.
- Develop strong working relationships with senior managers across multiple departments: production (manage product R&D, specification, product codes and labeling), R&D (develop new products that meet the needs of the customer), GTAC (assist with product approval), CRVA sales team, and Regional Trade Directors.
- Planning and forecasting of quarterly and annual budgets. Thorough understanding of international credit and logistics.
- This requires directing, and training of sales managers and Regional Offices; Utilizing international sales offices to assist in obtaining those goals.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years domestic and/or international sales experience in the pork and/or beef industry in the areas of meat sales. Case ready experience strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant work experience.
- Travel: Approximately 4-6 international trips per year. Some domestic travel to Tyson plants, however not extensive.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingual skills a plus
- Computer Skills: Strong excel skills will be necessary to interpret and present data to leadership. Basic Microsoft suite with an emphasis on PPT.
