Our flagship product line is a robust platform designed to streamline the day-to-day tasks of study abroad administrators and increase traveler participation in global opportunities. Our companion product, Via Travel, helps campuses track outbound travel, manage risks, and aid in compliance. We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and implementation of new features and products in our suite of solutions geared toward international education, enabling educational institutions worldwide to effectively manage their global opportunities and campus-wide travel.

Position: Product Manager
Location: Remote

- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends and inform product strategy.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and QA, to ensure successful and timely product delivery.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap, and priorities.
- Lead the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of compliance requirements and pain points and leverage that knowledge to guide product development.
- Stay on top of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in global education and compliance.
- Define and prioritize user stories, epics, and product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Monitor product performance and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize user experience.
- Oversee and manage user acceptance testing and gather feedback to iteratively enhance product features and functionalities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. (ideally: developers, designers, and QA professionals)
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, Project Manager, or similar role.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent experience/certifications.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira or Asana.
- Familiarity with compliance reporting requirements is highly desirable.
- Ability to think creatively and outside of the box to come up with solutions
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles and UX best practices.
- Understanding of compliance best practices (e.g. WCAG, ADA, GDPR etc).
- Understanding of study abroad student management processes and OpenDoors compliance.
- Feel uncomfortable in either a mentoring or learning capacity.
- Are a development contractor or software development shop (inquiries will not be responded to).
- Have not yet worked in a professional setting.
- Cannot achieve your best results in a remote work environment.
- Do not currently live (and already work) in the United States (inquiries will not be responded to).
- Do not thrive off of solving problems with a small team.
