Director/ Sr. Director Of Pharma Development Services

ApiJect is seeking a Director/ Sr. Director of Pharma Development Services to oversee biotech/pharma client engagement focusing on the ‘drug’ aspect of a combination device program. This position is both a leadership and ‘direct contributor’ role while we continue to build the department.

• This role is responsible for the delivery and success of each program; supervise and inform leadership on progress and performance to ensure the addition of the highest possible value to the organization.
• Work with Customers, Commercial organization, Program Management, and other ApiJect internal groups for developing scope of work and commercial proposals for development of pharma products into the ApiJect platform.
• Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements.
• Support Business Development and Commercial Marketing in developing scientific marketing content, representation of ApiJect at tradeshows, technical support to win prospective clients, and other external initiatives as required.
• Apply change, risk, and resource management principles as needed.
• Work with customers for delivering against contractual goals and when required to effect changes of scope and additional follow on work as required by each program.
• Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
• Lead the Pharma Development team to include delivery of client development projects from lab scale early phase (pre Clinical) through to late stage development (Phase III). This will be fee for service work and the leader will have responsibility for financial performance against signed contracts and against annual financial plan targets.
• Owns relationships and supports customers to drive each program to success; main point of escalation and will manage between technical subject matter experts and pharma companies to support.
• The Pharma Development organization will include non-GMP feasibility, drug product formulation/compounding, business support and other functions as required to achieve success against company goals.

• 10 -15 years of Pharma industry experience to ideally include background in Pharma Development, Combination Device Development, and Commercial experience.
• Ability to teach organizational best practices.
• Demonstrated experience building strong teams and leading operational programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences required, advanced degree preferred; pharmaceutical experience required.
