The Opportunity | Vice President of Business Development - Gaming

In this role, you will stay on top of the organization's long-term strategy and operate details to ensure urgent tactical issues are closed and teams are taking steps to head off customer-impacting risks and issues.


One of the key objectives of this role is to find and evaluate potential new partnerships. This means that you must understand where the business falls within the market and gauge the impact of this new partnership. You will develop your expertise in new business, allowing you to find and vet partnerships effectively.


The Vice President of Business Development drives the Omni-channel sales solutions of Teleperformance to successfully turn new local, regional, and global business prospects into clients. With an overall sales strategy of value-adding solutions designs, this position ensures that the company achieves or exceeds our margin and revenue goals, aligned with our organization’s vision, mission, core values, norms, and policies.

As a Vice President of Business Development - Gaming, You Will…

  • Coordinates with the Bid/Proposal team to generate presentations and proposals for client delivery.
  • Design a comprehensive solutions sales strategy to complement our global business development framework that addresses market needs and new growth opportunities.
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative partnerships with our new clients to ensure we deliver committed results.
  • Constantly research this growing industry! Your benchmarking strategy will help you understand and drive best practices (from external sources and best-in-class operations within TP).
  • Be responsible for cementing & expanding Teleperformance’s footprint globally in the videogame market.
  • Use of own network in aiding in opening new markets/opportunities.
  • Develop a competitive SWOT analysis on how to make Teleperformance the undisputed leader and go-to partner by analysing the market, competition, clients, and prospects opportunities.
  • Uphold and promote our Teleperformance core values, norms, standard operating policies, and procedures.
  • Map out a business plan with goals, key actions, targets, and measures of success, including its complementing resources and tools needed by the unit/department to meet and exceed the organizational objectives.
  • You will maintain ethical practices that nurture a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and motivates high-potential employees at all levels.
  • You will help support the US sales teams to identify and develop TP’s unique selling propositions Using knowledge of the market and our competitors.
  • Constantly research this growing industry! Your benchmarking strategy will help you understand and drive best practices (from external sources and best-in-class operations within TP).
  • Utilize and manage the TP CRM system – Salesforce.
  • Arrange, attend, and oversee tours and visits to various Teleperformance sites and locations virtually and physically on behalf of potential new clients.
  • Direct the smooth implementation of well-defined end-to-end business development plans based on the current or new transformational needs and requirements approved and supported by leadership and our clients.
  • Drive sales strategies aligned to the “Employer of Choice” key business differentiators as a People Company, which are also our competitive industry advantages in the local, national, and regional markets.
  • Manages negotiation process of contracts with current and prospective clients.


Key First-Year Objectives

  • Engage with customers in a consultative way by understanding their value proposition and designing solutions that enable improved business outcomes.
  • Align, develop confidence, and trust with new and existing accounts through close partnerships and outstanding delivery.
  • Optimize internal relationships with Sales Support and Client Services.
  • Design a business development strategy to engage a target list based on assigned accounts.
  • Qualify 6 opportunities in the first year, in addition to the targeting quota.


What Will You Need to Succeed?

  • Engage in key account expansion, sales leadership, and internal executive stakeholder partnering based upon an expert understanding of such things as emerging market trends, client business direction, client requirements, and the feasibility of transformation goals.
  • Strong financial management skills (i.e., P&L, pricing negotiation)
  • Excellent ability to understand client business drivers and objectives.
  • Client-facing and executive presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated a strong track record in driving continuous improvement.
  • Extensive background in project management and project implementation.
  • Demonstrated decisiveness and leadership.
  • Excellent, proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of CX-related digital technologies, digital transformation a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and business management skills.
  • Medium travel requirement.
  • Extensive expertise in building and managing long-term relationships with business partners and clients.
  • Highest standards of ethical behavior.
  • Consultative sales background in hunting and farming with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • 8+ years of successful enterprise sales experience in Gaming, GAAS, and mobile gaming industries.
  • Successful track record in peer collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate win-win agreements.
  • College or University graduate and proven direct experience.
  • Leverage industry expertise and market sensibilities to propose a forward-leaning refinement or extension of TP’s practice offerings; lead in the management of strategic control points in developing these offerings.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with client executives and strive to serve as their trusted advisor.
