Job Description

Shenzhen CLOU Electronics Co. Ltd (hereinafter referred as to CLOU) , a Midea Company, is an international and integrated new energy services provider

CLOU as a national hi-tech enterprise, was founded in 1996 and listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2007 (stock code: 002121). CLOU actively implements the strategy of "30 60 carbon peak and neutrality" and builds a new power system with new energy as the main body. It provides core technologies and system solutions in the fields of smart grid, energy storage, new energy vehicle charging and operation and integrated energy services.

Position: Business Development Manager/Senior Manager

Work location could be remote work in East coast or Mid-West where prospective customers locate.


As the Sales and Market Development Manager for the company's energy storage products in the US market, your responsibilities include:

1. Developing new business opportunities: You will be responsible for identifying and

pursuing new business opportunities in the energy storage market. This will

involve researching potential clients, developing relationships with key

stakeholders, and identifying new market segments.

2. Establishing relationships with new and strategically important clients: You will need to

build a network of relationships with government agencies, project developers,

utilities, EPCs, investors, and other project stakeholders. This will require

excellent communication skills and the ability to develop trust and credibility

with key decision-makers.

3. Increasing revenue contribution from major East Coast utilities, commercial, and

industrial markets: You will be responsible for driving sales growth in key market

segments. This will require a deep understanding of customer needs and the

ability to develop customized solutions to meet those needs.

4. Customer management: You will be responsible for all aspects of customer management,

including customer acquisition, customer recommendations, relationship

management, contract negotiations, and general customer support. This will

require excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong

relationships with customers.

5. Project management: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining project

requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of project requirements,

and meeting customer and business requirements. This will require excellent

organizational skills and attention to detail.

6. Business opportunity management: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining

records of business opportunities, contracts, and development activities. You

will also need to develop responsible regional strategies to achieve sales

goals and improve the company's profitability.

7. Providing the latest information on sales activities, performance, market trends, project

status, and customer relationship issues to relevant business departments and

company management in a timely manner: You will be responsible for keeping all

relevant stakeholders informed about sales activities, performance, market

trends, project status, and customer relationship issues. This will require

excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information

in a clear and concise manner.


Job Qualifications:

  • Able to independently adapt to long-term or frequent business trips to the United States.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multicultural teams in multiple regions, manage interactions at all levels, and have a global perspective.
  • Familiarity with new energy-related industries, such as photovoltaics, inverters/converters, power supplies, and power, is also considered.
  • At least three years of experience in technical sales, business development, project development, or project management in the renewable energy or energy storage industry, with a preference for experience in battery energy storage systems.
  • Familiarity with the US photovoltaic, wind power, grid-scale energy storage, and commercial and industrial energy storage related markets.
  • Strong sense of professional ethics, focus on results, attention to detail, self-motivation, and pursuit of excellence.
  • Strong sensitivity to the market and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in science and engineering, with a preference for electrical engineering.
  • Strong foreign business negotiation skills, with the ability to directly communicate with customers in English, and strong market sales concepts and service awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Chinese proficiency is a plus but not necessary.
