Job Description
Job Summary: The Account Manager position is a fantastic opportunity to excel your sales career in the sports industry with an organization committed to professional and career development. As a member of our team, you will be given the opportunity to impact the Sacramento Kings organization, Sacramento Kings fans and the great Sacramento region both on and off the court. Combining a collaborative and innovative work environment with a talented and diverse staff, we have created a workforce in which every team member has the resources and opportunity to achieve their goals. Account Managers will be included in a 2 week-week virtual training program to prepare them for both virtual and in-person selling environments.


Key Responsibilities Areas


  • Daily focus on prospecting, appointment setting, executing sales presentations in a virtual format, face to face format, and closing sales.
  • Actively participate in Team Member trainings, developmental opportunities, and activities.
  • Generate group ticket revenue using all sales methods, including cold calls, face to face appointments, arena tours, prospecting, and networking.
  • Plan, develop and execute strategic group sales promotions and theme nights by creating a unique offer and targeted sales campaign to a specific niche group or community.
  • Candidate should possess a team first attitude, as well as the competitive desire to be the best.
  • Utilize a wide variety of Sales 3.0 technology tools (OneMob, Outreach, Clearslide) to create meaningful engagement daily with prospective clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and prospects through creative means including, but not limited to: networking events, speaking engagements, seat visits at games, off site meetings, prospect tickets in-game, and virtual meetings.
  • Meet with Director, Group Sales regularly producing accurate updates on pipeline health, meetings held, prospecting activities and overall sales performance.
  • Responsible also for selling full menu of other ticket products including season ticket memberships, premium courtside and club contractual agreements, nightly suite rentals and partial plans.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service to all current and prospective clients.
  • Develop a Work-From-Home Atmosphere

  • Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Proven track record of top 10% results with two or more years (2+) of successful sales experience in a sports or Fortune 500 environment
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain strong prioritization and organizational skills
  • High level of confidence, enthusiasm, and personal accountability
  • Supporting and advocating diversity and inclusion in the workplace
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on business management, sports management, or a related field
  • Proven time management, organizational, and prioritizing skills
  • Must be proficient in Archtics, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce and Outlook.


Compensation


The expected annual base salary for this non-exempt role is $36,000 plus bonus and commissions. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
